Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) has launched its TATA.ev stores, which will cater solely to EV customers. The company has introduced the electric vehicle showroom in the prominent auto hubs of Sector 14 & Sohna Road, Gurugram. The Tata Electric Car stores will be open to the public starting January 07, 2024.
Tata Motors claim that the “TATA.ev stores are designed around the core values of sustainability, community, and technology. These showrooms will embody the core philosophy of ‘Move with Meaning’ and offer an inviting and immersive space for the EV community.” The homegrown passenger vehicle manufacturer will plan to bring more electric vehicle showrooms in the next 12-18 months.
The company reveals that all major materials utilized are either recycled or recyclable, with many of them certified with sustainability from global green certifiers. The company has used locally sourced materials while building the showroom, which reduces reliance on long-distance, high-emission transportation.
It is claimed that the showroom has been created to invite visitors not just to purchase a Tata EV, but also for shared moments like offering coffee from Blue Tokai, catch-up with fellow EV adopters, and attending events listed in the EVOLVE community calendar – transforming the store to a hub for meaningful interactions beyond a purchase.
The TATA.ev stores also focus on technology. The screens would provide testimonials from current owners, addressing concerns and myths around EVs, customization options for customers keen to know more about their Tata EVs, and personalized welcomes for families arriving to receive the delivery of their EVs.
Tata Motors has announced to have 10 electric vehicles in its portfolio by 2026. The company plans to introduce the Punch EV, Curvv EV and the Harrier EV in 2024. Adding to it, the homegrown UV maker is also developing an all-new Sierra EV and the Safari EV which are likely to launch in 2025.
