Tata Motors unveiled the all-new Curvv coupe SUV concept at this year’s Auto Expo. The concept offers a glimpse into the brand’s upcoming midsize SUV, featuring the new ‘Digital’ design language and a new-generation electric architecture. The carmaker has confirmed that the production version will be available with both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric powertrain options. Recently, several sketches of the Tata Curvv surfaced online, revealing that it will also offer a compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel option.

One can observe a CNG button on the climate control panel integrated into the dashboard. The sketches further showcase dual-zone climate control with two toggles, auto park assist, and a 360-degree camera. The production-ready Tata Curvv is expected to retain most of the features from the concept, including a floating center console, a three-layer dashboard, two free-standing digital screens (one for the instrument cluster and one for the infotainment system), a panoramic sunroof, a rotary gear selector, a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo in the center, and a center armrest.

Tata Curvv features

The Curvv electric variant is claimed to offer a range of 400-500km; however, details regarding its battery pack, power, and torque outputs are still undisclosed. Tata has revealed that the midsize SUV based on the Curvv will have a larger battery pack compared to the Nexon EV. The ICE version will be powered by a 1.2L DI turbo petrol engine, generating a maximum power of 125bhp and 225Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be available.

If the Tata Curvv CNG variant is offered, it is expected to utilize the brand’s new twin-cylinder technology, as seen in the Altroz CNG. This technology will also be employed in the Punch CNG and Nexon CNG models. The final version of the Curvv midsize SUV is set to make its debut in 2024.
