Tata Motors is preparing to launch the significantly revised versions of the Nexon, Harrier and the Safari before the end of this financial year. The new Nexon is expected to be launched sometime in August-September, while the new Harrier & Safari facelift are likely to arrive around October-March 2024. The 2024 Tata Safari facelift has been spotted several times on the Indian roads, revealing the exterior design changes.
This time around, interiors of the new Safari facelift have been revealed in the new set of spy images. The test mule has most of the parts covered in thick cloth; however, it still shows the possible changes in the cabin. It will come with revised cabin, featuring a new twin-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel that’s debuted in the Curvv SUV Coupe concept at Auto Expo 2023. The same steering wheel will also be offered on the new Nexon. There will be an illuminated logo on the steering wheel. It is also likely to get paddle-shifters.
The big change comes in the form of revised central console that houses a second screen. The screen is covered in thick cloth; however, it is most likely to be touch controls for HVAC. The SUV will have a revised gear lever and an electronic parking brake. The new Tata Safari facelift will come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay support, electrically adjustable front seats, powered second-row seats in 6-seater version and wireless phone charging. It is also likely to get an updated ADAS tech, which will have an adaptive cruise control function.
In terms of styling, the 2024 Tata Safari will have a revised front fascia and slightly revised rear end. The SUV is likely to get a revised front grille and an updated headlamp setup. It will have a new tail-lights that are connected via an LED bar. It is expected to receive a newly-styled 19-inch alloy wheels.
The revised Safari is also likely to get a new turbocharged petrol engine option. It will have an all-new 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. This engine is capable of producing 170bhp and 280Nm of torque. It is likely to be offered with a 6-speed manual and a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The diesel version will continue to be offered with the 170bhp, 350Nm, 2.0L turbo-diesel engine with manual and automatic gearbox options.
