Prices of the Tata Altroz CNG variants have finally been announced in the country. Buyers can get CNG fuel option with six variants – XE, XM+, XM+ (S), XZ, XZ+ (S) and XZ+ O (S), which are priced between Rs 7.55 lakh – Rs 10.55 lakh (all, ex-showroom). When compared with its arch rivals – Maruti Baleno CNG and Toyota Glanza CNG, the entry-level variant of the Altroz CNG is more affordable. However, its higher variants are slightly more expensive.
The Baleno and Glanza CNG are currently available within the price range of Rs 8.35 lakh – Rs 9.28 lakh and Rs 8.50 lakh – Rs 9.53 lakh respectively. One must note that the Altroz CNG come in multiple variants.

All variants of the Tata Altroz CNG have a 1.2L petrol engine + dual cylinder setup for CNG tanks and a 5-speed manual gearbox. In order to resolve issue of limited boot space, the carmaker has fitted two 30-litres (each) CNG tanks underneath the boot floor. The spare wheel is now placed under the car.
With the twin CNG cylinder tech, the hatchback offers a boot space of 210-litre (which is highest than anyother CNG hatch in India). In CNG mode, it offers a maximum power of 77bhp and a peak torque of 103Nm. That means, the Altroz CNG is as powerful as the Maruti Baleno CNG and Toyota Glanza CNG. Interestingly, the hatchback can be directly start in CNG mode.
Design of the Altroz CNG version is exactly similar to the regular petrol model. What differentiate it is the ‘iCNG badge on the tailgate. In terms of features, the XM (S), XZ+ (S) and XZ+ O (S) trims offer a single-pane sunroof with voice command. Rest of its features are carried forward from the petrol version including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity, wireless charger, an air purifier, automatic headlamps, etc.
