Suzuki has introduced the new Swace Estate for the European markets. The new Suzuki Swace is the second vehicle to be supplied by Toyota under a new agreement between the two companies. The company had introduced the Suzuki ACross mid-sized SUV based on teh Toyota RAV4.
The Suzuki Swace looks identical to the Corolla Wagon, but it gets some visual changes to keep things fresh in the market. Some of the design highlights include bi-beam headlamps, large honeycomb-patterned hexagonal grille, integrated roof rails, a sculpted rear door, and 16-inch alloys. The Swace is available in 7 exterior colour options – White Pearl Crystal Shine, Super White, Precious Silver, Black Mica, Dark Blue Mica, Phantom Brown Metallic and Oxide Bronze Metallic.
Similar to the exterior, the interior of the new Swace is directly sourced from the Corolla. It is equipped with an 8-inch multimedia audio system with AM/FM/DAB radio, Bluetooth function, and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink support. The SUV also gets a Qi wireless charging pad in the front console. Other features include front seat and steering wheel heaters, an S-Flow air-condition system with occupant detection and ambient lighting.
The Suzuki Swace Wagon comes with large 596-litres of boot space, which can be further increased up to 1,606-litres by folding the rear seats. The hybrid system features a powerful electric motor with a 1.8-litre petrol engine to form hybrid system. The hybrid system optimally drives the Swace with the motor, engine or both depending on driving conditions. In EV drive mode, the vehicle is driven solely by its motor with power supplied from the battery.
The Swace also offers 3 driving modes – Normal, Eco and Sport. The Wagon also has multiple driver assistance features like Simple-Intelligent Parking Assist (S-IPA), Pre-Collision System, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Crossing Traffic Alert, eCall, Brake Hold, etc. In terms of proportions, the new Suzuki Swace is 4,655mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,460mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,700mm.
