Suzuki, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer is reportedly working on an all-new, semi-faired motorcycle. A Japanese magazine has released a rendering of the production version of the Suzuki Recursion concept, which was unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. The upcoming 600cc motorcycle is, reportedly, the revival of the Katana, which was sold between 1980’s to early 2000’s.
The Suzuki Recursion will get a liquid cooled engine and is expected to share its mechanics with the GSX-R600. As a reminder, the GSX-R600 is propelled by a 599cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that churns out a maximum power output of 129PS and a peak torque of 70Nm.
Going by the picture, the front end of the bike resembles Suzuki’s 1100cc six-cylinder Stratosphere concept shown in 2005. The rendering of the upcoming 600cc motorcycle shows few features such as dual-disc Brembo brakes, LED headlamps, up-side down front suspension, and indicators integrated into fairing. The semi-faired motorcycle is expected to be positioned in the tourer segment and will rival against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the upcoming Honda CBR650F.
