South Korean automaker Hyundai will launch the much awaited production spec Hyundai ix25 compact SUV on October 9 in China. First unveiled as the concept at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, the Hyundai ix25 production model will be unveiled at the 2014 Chengdu Motor Show in September. The production spec model has been spotted again, showing interiors and exteriors. The fresh set of images shows that the vehicle gets premium interiors and rear AC vents.
The production spec model looks quite identical to the concept; however, the company has made some tweaks to make it road compatible. Inside, the compact SUV features three-spoke multi functional steering with controls mounted on it. There are silver accents to the control area to provide premium feel. Moreover, the vehicle gets automatic climate control and rear air conditioning vents, an LCD screen multimedia system, automatic gearbox, etc. The black painted seats with contrasting stitches offers rich feel to it.
On the exteriors, the vehicle gets matte grille flanked by LED daytime running lamps. The bumper features air dam and fog lamp assembly. A silver colour skid guard is present below the bumper. At the back, the ix25 has the LED combination taillights. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to large diamond-cut alloy wheels and new wheel hub is complemented by black trim embellishment. Also visible is the black plastic cladding all around the car to offer more rugged road presence.
The top-spec variant of the Hyundai ix25, christened as Sport, has recently been spotted with different front grille and bumpers. The vehicle is likely to be launched in seven variants and two petrol mills. The base unit will get the 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine while the top-spec models would feature a 2.0-litre unit.
