Volvo India has silently introduced the S60 R-Design in the Indian car market. Priced at Rs. 40.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the R-Design gets some subtle changes to both exteriors and interiors. This model also features a more modern 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine which replaced the aging D4, five-cylinder engine.
Under the bonnet is the new 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel mill that is capable of developing a top power output of 181bhp and a peak torque of 400Nm. This engine is paired to an eight speed automatic transmission gearbox. It is claimed to offer an excellent mileage of 25kmpl.
The new Volvo S60 R-Design features a newly designed front bumper with a new honeycomb lower air dam and R-design badges. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to new bespoke five-spoke 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Its prominent diffuser and twin circular chrome exhaust tips add to its sporty character. The outside rear view mirrors get silver finish. A new Passion Red colour is also on offer.

Inside the cabin, the S60 R-Design gets a new audio system, paddle shifters on the steering wheel, sat-nav system and rear view camera.
