Hyundai has been testing its much-awaited ix25 compact SUV, which is schedule to go on sale in China on October 9. Unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show as a pre-production concept, this crossover is also expected to be launched in India in mid-2015. This time, the compact crossover SUV has been spied testing in South Korea.
The latest images of the Hyundai ix25 flaunt the illuminated LED taillights. This LED brake light creates two parallel illuminated from boot and merges to the fenders. The lower side rear bumper also gets reflectors. The rear spoiler also gets rear brake lights, which further add to its sporty character.
Few days back, the top-end variant of the Hyundai ix25 spotted in China. If media reports are to be believed, the top-end model is christened as ix25 Sport variant. The vehicle gets slightly different fascia compared to the regular model. The spotted vehicle features a twin-slat front grille instead of the triple slat found in standard trims. It also gets revised bumper with vents positioning either side of the licensing plate. There is a Sport badge at the back and sporty alloy wheels.
The Hyundai ix25 Sport gets the T-GDI badge on the tailgate. It is propelled by a 1.6-litre T-GDI turbocharged engine that is likely offer a top power output of 201bhp and 265Nm of top torque. The company will also introduce the standard 1.6-litre petrol and the 2.0L engine that will be mated to either six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
