This time Skoda Auto India has teased the image of its much anticipated new Octavia, which is scheduled to be launched in India in the near future. According to media reports, Skoda will launch or unveil the new Octavia sedan on August 9, but we expect it to be launched by the October (during festive season).
The official Facebook page of Skoda India has teased the new Octavia, saying “The legend is Coming Soon”. It is also speculated that new Skoda Octavia will replace the company’s flagship Laura sedan, which has not been doing good business in India. The Czech automaker has used the Volkswagen’s MQB platform to develop the new Octavia, which has certainly improved the interior space of the car. When compared the new Octavia with Laura, it is now 90mm longer and 45mm wider. The vehicle will offer an excellent boot space of around 590 litres without any adjustment to rear seats.
The new Octavia has a more luxurious and upmarket interiors. It now also get some advanced safety equipments like nine airbags, automatic braking system, lane assistance and others. It also sports features like Adaptive cruise control, intelligent light assistance, traffic sign recognition.
