Royal Enfield Meteor 350 To Get Bluetooth and Navigation

The latest spy pictures of the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 confirmed that the motorcycle will come with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation features. The Meteor will be the first bike in its segment to feature dual display (LCD and TFT) for instrument cluster. The LCD screen will show information such as fuel gauge, mileage, range, time and more. The TFT unit, on the other hand, is likely to for Bluetooth connectivity with navigation feature.

The upcoming RE 350cc bike might also be equipped with music and call control functions. The Meteor will be the first production-ready Royal Enfield to be based on the new modular J platform. If reports are to be believed, the model will also mark debut of RE’s new-generation UCE 350 single-cylinder, air-cooled engine featuring OHC (Over Head Cam) setup. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will come as a replacement to the Thunderbird 350 X that uses a BS6-compliant 350cc, single cylinder, fuel injected motor. Sporting an archaic tappet valve system, the engine pushes out a peak power of 20bhp and 28Nm of torque. Sitting on a new chassis, the Meteor 350 will feature disc brakes at both ends along with the standard dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). Suspension setup will be sourced from the outgoing Thunderbird 350 X.

The upcoming RE 350cc bike will witness some significant cosmetic changes and a bunch of new features. With all these important upgrades, the Meteor 350 will be slightly more expensive than its predecessor. Its prices are likely to fall in the range of Rs 1.60 lakh – Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
