Royal Enfield Classic 650 Rendering Previews A Possible Design

Royal Enfield aims to expand its product portfolio with a range of new models in coming years. The plan outlines new-generation Classic 350, Interceptor 350 and 650cc cruisers. The bikemaker is currently testing its upcoming products, which have been caught on camera multiple times. Recently, we brought you fresh spy images of the upcoming Royal Enfield 650 cruisers that seem to be based on the Classic 350 and Meteor 350. Both models are likely to arrive sometime next year.

Ahead of its official launch, a latest digital rendering gives us a preview of the upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650 cruiser motorcycle. Visually, the 650cc version looks similar to the Classic 350. Though, it carries differently styled saddle and pillion grab rail, newly designed taillight cluster and turn indicators. The chrome finished exhaust pipe, pillion grab handle and headlamp surrounding add more its looks. It has upright ergonomics and taller stance than the conventional low-slung cruiser styling.

In terms of features, the Royal Enfield Classic 650 will offer Tripper Screen for turn-by-turn navigation display as we have seen in the RE Meteor 350. It uses Google maps data for navigation purpose. The cruiser might also get a separate pod for a colour TFT display and a semi-digital instrument. Braking duties might be done by front and rear disc brakes, which will be further assisted by the standard dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). The cruiser might feature USD forks upfront instead of the upside down front forks suspension. At the rear, it’s likely to have twin shock absorbers. Powering the Royal Enfield Classic 650 could be a 648cc, twin-cylinder engine that does duty in the RE Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. The motor pushes out a peak power of 47bhp at 7250rpm and a maximum torque of 52Nm at 5250rpm. For performing transmission duties, the cruiser will have a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.
