Royal Enfield 650 Cruiser Bike Rendered Based On Spy Pictures

We have reported earlier that Royal Enfield is planning to expand its 650cc motorcycle lineup in coming years. In fact, the new RE cruiser bike was recently caught testing in the country. The spotted prototype is likely to be based on the Royal Enfield 650cc platform that underpins the RE Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650. As of now, details of the upcoming Royal Enfield 650 cruiser motorcycle are scanty. Though, a latest digital rendering based on the spy pictures previews its possible design.

The rendered model has been painted in black shade with gold pinstriping on the fuel tank, rear cowl and side body panels. It features a retro-styled circular headlamp. While the black alloy wheels and dual exhaust pipes further enhance its sporty looks, the single-piece black seat offers laid-back riding position. The Royal Enfield 650 cruiser bike will be the brand’s first model to feature the USF front forks suspension. At the rear axle, it will get the conventional but differently placed twin shock absorbers.

Official engine details of the new Royal Enfield 650 cruiser bike are yet to be revealed. Though, it’s likely to come with the 650cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine with fuel injection technology. It’s the same powertrain that does duty in the RE 650 twins. The bikemaker might tune the motor for generating different power and torque outputs. Currently, the 650cc motor delivers a claimed power of 46.8bhp and 52Nm of torque. Transmission duties are likely to be done by a 6-speed gearbox.

In other news, Royal Enfield is ready to launch the Meteor 350 motorcycle that will replace the RE Thunderbird 350 X. The model lineup will be offered in three variants and multiple colour options. It will be based on an all-new platform and feature a more refined and efficient 350cc engine. The new motor is reported to feature SOHC (Single Over-Head Camshaft) configuration and produce 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque, thus making it slightly more powerful and less torqueier than the existing 350cc unit.
