The Nissan Magnite will be offered with 2 engine options – a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol. The naturally-aspirated unit is the same engine that also powers the Renault Triber. Paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, this engine produces 72bhp of maximum power and 96Nm of torque.

The big news is that the turbocharged petrol engine will also be offered with the Triber and the Kiger SUV, which are scheduled to be launched in 2021. The 3-cylinder turbo unit churns out 99bhp and 160Nm of torque.  Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. With automatic gearbox, the peak torque drop to 152Nm.
