Porsche Taycan India Launch Confirmed – Picture Gallery
Porsche India recently rolled out the Macan facelift at a starting price of Rs 69.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The German marquee has also confirmed that it will launch all-new Cayenne Coupe and all-electric Taycan in India. The latter one will hit roads by the end of May, 2020. Based on the Mission E concept, the Porsche Taycan is the company’s first ever all-electric vehicle that will have its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, followed by its launch.
For power, the Porsche Taycan will use two permanently excited synchronous motors (PMS) generating a combined power over 600bhp. Built on an 800-V architecture, the electric car is claimed to deliver a range of 500kms on a single charge. It can do 0 to 100kmph under 3.5 seconds and 200kmph in less than 12 seconds. Its batteries take just around 4 minutes to get charge via fast charger.

Porsche will bring the Taycan electric via CBU (Completely Built Up) unit. Just so you know, the GST (Goods and Services Tax) Council recently decided to reduce tax rates on electric vehicles (from 12% to 5%) and electric chargers (from 18% to 5%). The electric sports car from German luxury carmaker will surely be a beneficiary of the new tax scheme.
