Ultra-luxury car manufacturer Porsche will launch the Macan SUV in the Indian car market this July. Around 10 models have been imported from Germany, and have been reached to dealerships. The models flew down to India are the diesel variants. Earlier, Porsche was waiting for the new budget and policies for the luxury cars to keep the price competitive in the market. Now, with stable government in centre the company has decided to introduce the highly rated Macan in the country this July.
For the Indian buyers, the Porsche Macan SUV will be offered in two trims- a top-of-the line Macan S Diesel and the Macan Turbo. The diesel version is packed with a 3.0-litre V6 powertrain that produces 258bhp and 580Nm of peak torque. This model accelerates to 100kmph from standstill in mere 6.3 seconds and catches a top-speed of 230kmph. On the other hand, the Macan Turbo has 3.6-litre bi-turbo engine that develops 400bhp and 550Nm of torque. It sprints to 0-100kmph in mere 4.8 seconds and hit a top-speed of 266kmph. Both variant will feature PDK and all-wheel drive as standard.
The Porsche Macan will be brought via CBU (Completely built-in unit) route, which make it pricy. The exact pricing details for the SUV is yet to be revealed, but we expect it to cost around 75-90 lakh.
