Volkswagen has announced a list of genuine accessories for the Polo facelift in Europe, which is also expected to be offered with the Indian model. The updated Polo will go on sale on July 15, while the new GT range will be launched in August this year. Bookings for the Polo facelift have already been commenced.
The accessories for the 2014 Volkswagen Polo facelift include roof spoiler, wing mirror covers with faux carbon fibre finish, chrome exhaust finisher, 16-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, stainless steel pedal caps and others.
This accessory package also gets a new 300 watts audio system with sub-woofer and amplifier. Adding to it, the company is offering a bicycle carrier, Go Plus Isofix child safety seat with 5-point harness, etc.
The new Volkswagen Polo facelift gets updated to both interior and exteriors. It comes equipped with a newly designed front bumper with a wide air-dam and a thick chrome strip. The grille now features a single chrome strip instead of three in the current model. Its new grille is flanked by new headlamps which now get some silver detailing. The bumpers also feature a pair of fog lamps, while the rear also gets newly styled bumper and tail lamps. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to new alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the 2014 Polo has dual-tone theme on the dashboard, while the centre console gets silver finish. The new steering wheel comes with piano black detailing and the repositioned controls add to its premium feel.
Under the hood, the Volkswagen Polo facelift gets a new 1.5-litre diesel engine that develops two state of tune- 89bhp and 109bhp. Power is transmitted to front wheels of the hatchback via a five-speed manual transmission gearbox.
