Over 2 Lakh Made-in-India Hyundai Creta Exported To Global Markets

Launched in 2015 the Hyundai Creta has been a runaway success for the South Korean carmaker in the country.  The carmaker’s Chennai-based facility serves as an export hub for the compact SUV. The Made-in-India Hyundai Creta is being exported to over 88 countries across 4 continents. In 2019 calendar year, the company exported over 2 lakh units  (1,81,200 + 792 customized  models) of the Made-in-India Creta compact SUV.

Besides this, the South Korean carmaker has achieved the fastest Made-in-India 3 millionth export milestone. The company received 7 EEPC National and 5 South Region Awards as Top Exporter of Year in the Large Enterprise Category. In September 2020, the Hyundai Creta recorded its highest ever month sales of 12,325 units since its launch in 2015.

2020 Hyundai Creta Diesel

Recently, the company introduced a new, entry-level ‘E’ variant of the second-generation Creta, priced at Rs 9.81 lakh. The model lineup has also received its first price hike of up to Rs 61,900. Now, the petrol variants are available in the price range of Rs 9.81 lakh (for the new E model) – Rs 17.31 lakh (for the top-end SX (O) turbo-petrol). Prices of the diesel Creta start from Rs 9.99 lakh and go up to Rs 17.31 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

Engine setup of the new Creta includes a 113bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 138bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol and 113bhp, 1.5L diesel. There are 4 transmissions on offer – 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, CVT and 7-speed DCT. The same engines and gearboxes will be offered on the upcoming new-generation Hyundai i20.

The premium hatchback will come in four variants – Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). Its official price announcement is likely to be made in the first week of November, 2020.  The new Creta offers three drive modes – Eco, Sport and Comfort and three traction modes – Snow, Sand and Mud.
