Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer Ola Electric embarked on its journey with the launch of the Ola S1 on August 15, 2021. In just two successful years, the Ola electric scooter has witnessed numerous software updates, feature enhancements, and the introduction of new variants. Now, the company has something exciting planned for this year’s Independence Day, August 15, 2023. While specific product details are yet to be disclosed, it is expected to include a new variant of the Ola S1 scooter and two additional color options.
Although limited information is available about the upcoming Ola electric scooter, rumors suggest that the new variant may be called the Ola S1 Pro Classic. This model is likely to showcase retro design elements and could be equipped with accessories such as a center stand, windshield, and cushioned backrest. Ola will also introduce two new color schemes for the S1 e-scooter: Lime Green and Electric Blue. It is possible that all three variants of the electric scooter (S1 Standard, S1 Pro, and S1 Air) will be offered in these new shades. Currently, the e-scooter is available in 11 color options: Liquid Silver, Jet Black, Matte Black, Anthracite Grey, Coral Glam, Porcelain White, Gerua, Midnight Blue, Neo Mint, Millennial Pink, and Marshmallow.
Additionally, there are expectations of new Ola electric bikes joining the lineup, as previously teased earlier this year. The new Ola e-bike range is anticipated to include a cruiser, an adventure bike, a scrambler, a supersport model, and a commuter bike. These models might be showcased in their concept form or close-to-production versions. The teaser image provided some hints about these e-bikes. The upcoming Ola adventure motorcycle, for instance, is expected to feature Adventure insignia and knuckle guards, while the sportbike could provide a glimpse of the brand’s futuristic design language with a wide LED headlamp and chunky tires.
Furthermore, Ola Electric has plans to enter the electric four-wheeler segment with a new e-car scheduled to arrive in 2024. However, it is important to note that the Ola electric car will not be part of the new product range set to be unveiled on August 15th.
