Nissan Magnite Teaser Video Out; Global Unveil On 21st October

Nissan Magnite, the upcoming subcompact SUV from the Japanese carmaker, is ready to have its world premiere on 21st October, 2020. Ahead of its official debut, the carmaker has released a new teaser video revealing LED headlamps, LED DRLs, faux skid plates, roof rails and alloy wheels of the vehicle. While its official launch date and details are yet to be announced by the company, it’s reported to hit showrooms during this festive season (Diwali, 2020).

The new compact SUV from Nissan has been designed on Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-A+ platform that also underpins the Renault Triber MPV. The latest official and spy pictures confirm that the production-ready version of the vehicle is likely to retain most of the design bits from the concept. The front fascia of the Magnite looks more like a Datsun car. It carries a large hexagonal grille flanked by the new LED headlamp, sporty bumper, LED DRLs and sculpted bonnet. The beefy cladding on the wheel arches, ORVMs integrated LED turn signal lights and dual-tone alloy wheels adore its side profile. The SUV’s rear bumper looks beef giving it a sporty look. It also gets LED taillamps and a roof mounted spoiler. Interior of the Nissan Magnite is yet to be revealed by the carmaker. Though, it’s likely to be equipped with connected car technology, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted controls, a 360 degree camera, automatic climate control and cruise control.

Engine-wise, the upcoming Nissan Magnite might get a 1.0L Energy petrol motor that also does duty in the Renault Triber. It has been tuned for generating power worth 71bhp and 96Nm of torque. The carmaker might also offer turbocharged version of the 1.0L petrol engine delivering a maximum power of 95bhp. For performing transmission duties, the compact SUV will have a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit.
