Prices of the all-new Nissan Magnite subcompact SUV will be officially revealed on 2nd December, 2020. Earlier, it was expected to launch on 26th November. Dealers have already started accepting pre-bookings for the vehicle across the country. The Magnite model lineup will be available in four trims – XE, XL, XV High and XV Premium.
The carmaker will also offer a Technology pack that’s likely to be priced Rs 25,000 – Rs 30,000 more premium over the regular model. . Nissan’s upcoming compact SUV is likely to be the most affordable car in its category. The entry-level variant is estimated to cost as low as Rs 5.50 lakh and the fully-loaded model could be priced around Rs 9.50 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
Engine setup of the upcoming Nissan Magnite will include two petrol units – 1.0L naturally-aspirated and 1.0L turbocharged. While the former makes power around 72bhp, the latter is good for 100bhp and 160Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard across the model lineup. The turbo-petrol unit will be exclusively offered with a CVT automatic gearbox. One must note that the CVT unit drops the engine’s torque to 152Nm.
Features such as a 360 degree camera, LED headlamps, premium leather accents, tyre pressure monitoring system and Nissan Connect with smartwatch connectivity and 50+ connected car features (turbo-petrol only) will be reserved for the XV Premium variant. The list of standard features will include chrome finished front bumper and grille, halogen headlamps, integrated turn signals on ORVMs, 16-inch steel wheels (with wheel caps), AC with deodorizing and dust filter and adjustable headrests.
With respect to safety, the Nissan Magnite will offer dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, child safety lock, car immobilizer, seatbelt pretensioners and load limiters (front row), anti roll bars, seatbelt reminder and rear parking sensors as standard fitments. It will also come with ISOFIX child seat mounts (turbo-petrol only), anti-theft alarm and rear parking camera.
