Nissan Magnite Interior Revealed; Looks Quite Upmarket

Nissan India has released the first interior sketches of the Nissan Magnite subcompact SUV highlighting the dashboard and the cabin space. The official pictures have confirmed that the vehicle will feature a large touchscreen infotainment system that’s likely to support both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It has a digital instrument cluster with digital speedometer and gear indictor. Some of its key features include a flat bottom steering, automatic climate control, central tunnel mounted engine start/stop button and front and rear centre arm rest.

While the rear headrests are adjustable, the front units are fixed. Bits such as dual-tone theme, self patterned styled dashboard, chrome surrounded air vents and chromed door handles further enhance its interior feel and appeal. The production-ready Nissan Magnite will retain most of its design elements from the concept including the upright stance, chrome grille, sporty bumpers, blackened A-pillars and contrast roof.

Nissan Magnite Features

Engine details of the upcoming Nissan subcompact SUV are still under the wraps. Though, it’s likely to come with the naturally aspirated and turbocharged version of the 1.0L, 3-cylinder petrol engine. While the former will deliver power around 72bhp, the latter will be good enough for 95bhp. The model lineup will be made available with the manual and CVT automatic gearbox options. Renault-Nissan’s Tamil Nadu based manufacturing facility will serve as production hub for the all-new Nissan Magnite. The model is likely to hit showrooms early next year (possibility in January, 2021). Reports suggest that the new Nissan subcompact SUV could be priced from Rs 5.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

If it happens, the Magnite will undercut most of its rivals including Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport. The upcoming Renault Kiger and Kia Sonet will also give tough challenge to the Nissan Magnite. More details of the model are likely to be revealed near future. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
