The new-gen Suzuki Swift Sport is likely to be based on the modified HEARTECT platform. The current model is also based on the same lightweight platform. There are rumours that the new model could adopt a newly developed platform. It will continue to be offered as a lightweight and compact sports model.

The new Swift Sport body size is likely to be almost the same as the current model. The company would aim to achieve lighter weight. Transmission choices will remain the same that is a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. Expect the new model to offer more torque, and will feel quicker than the current model.

The engine could be tuned to offer up to 160PS of power from the current 140PS in the Japanese-spec model. The European-spec 1.4L turbo engine offers 129PS of power. The addition of 48V motor is likely to improve low-speed torque as well as fuel efficiency.

The next-gen Suzuki Swift Sport will retain the overall profile of the existing model; however, it will have more aggressive design elements. The renderings reveal a blacked-out grille, slimmer headlamps with LED DRLs, and new multi-spoke alloys. The rear door handle is integrated in the C-pillar, and there is a strong beltline that runs across the length to merge the wrap-around taillamps.
