New Tata Safari 2021 – Variant-Wise Features Explained

The all-new Tata Safari recently made its world debut in India. While its official bookings will open on 4th February, the launch will happen in the following weeks. The 2021 Tata Safari, which is the production-ready version of the Gravitas, will be the brand’s flagship SUV in the country.

The model lineup will be offered in six variants – XE, XM/XMA, XT, XT+, XZ/XZA and XZ+/XZA+. Under the hood, the SUV employs a 2.0L Kryotec turbo diesel engine that’s good enough for 170bhp and 350Nm. It’s the same powertrain that does duty in the Harrier. Both manual and torque converter automatic gearboxes are on offer.

Tata Safari Launch Date

The 2021 Tata Safari underpins the Omega Arch platform, which is already used in the Harrier SUV. However, the former is 63mm longer and 80mm taller than the latter. Both models share several other design elements and features. Read – New Tata Safari Vs Mahindra XUV500

The stepped roof, roof rails with silver inserts, bigger 18-inch alloy wheels (higher trims only), new tailgate, a more upright rear end, newly-designed taillamps and larger rear overhang mark distinction to the new Safari. It comes with both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations.
