Citroen Electric Mini SUV (HBX EV Rival) – What We Know So Far

Groupe PSA is all set to begin its India operations with the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV that’s slated to unveil on 1st February, 2021. The second offering from the French carmaker will be a subcompact SUV (codenamed Citroen CC21) that will arrive by the end of this year. The company is also working on a mini electric SUV to challenge the upcoming Tata HBX EV. We have seen the new Citroen electric mini SUV in multiple spy pictures revealing a few design details. Here’s a latest digital rendering that previews a possible design of the Citroen eCC21 electric micro SUV.

The rendered model carries upright stance with squarish body built and slightly higher ground clearance. Upfront, the mini SUV features split headlamps, LED DRLs with turn indicators, black bumper and closed grilles with signature logo. You can also notice the black roof rails and ORVMs. The rendering doesn’t show the side and rear profiles. The fresh spy pictures reveal that the new Citroen electric mini SUV will have black steel wheels, rear bumper mounted license plate and squared taillamps.

As of now, there is no information on its interior. The upcoming Citroen eCC21 is expected to be packed with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control, connected car technology, cruise control and keyless entry. It would be quite early to comment on its engines. The new Citroen electric mini SUV might be offered with a 1.2L petrol engine with flexifuel option. It’s likely to have an ethanol blends ranging from 27% to 100%. If this happens, the Citroen eCC21 will become the first bi-fuel car in the country. It’s real world electric range is expected to be around 200km.
