Renault’s sister brand for Europe, Dacia has recently revealed the new generation Duster SUV, which is scheduled to be launched in early next year. The French automaker will also introduce an all-new 3-row SUV, which will also be introduced in our market. To be based on the Dacia Bigster concept, the new Renault 7-seater SUV is reportedly to make global debut under Dacia nameplate sometime in 2024.

For people not in the know, the Dacia Bigster concept was first unveiled in January 2021. It was speculated that Renault will introduce an elongated seven-seater Duster, which was rumoured to be called the Grand Duster. This SUV will be the brand’s newest model in the C-SUV segment.

The Dacia Bigster 7-seater SUV will be built on the CMF-B modular platform, which also underpins the new Dacia Duster. The report claims that the development process has already begun and, if everything goes according to plan, the new Bigster SUV will debut before the end of 2024. What’s interesting is that the Bigster SUV will be available in five-and seven-seat versions with later featuring bench-type seats in third-row.

Similar to the new Dacia Duster, the Bigster range will come with an electrified petrol engines and a bifuel version that runs on LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). This C-segment SUV will measure around 4.60 meters in length, which makes it a direct rivals to the likes of the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700 and others in the category. In the global markets, the new Dacia Bigster will be positioned against the likes of the Skoda Karoq and the Volkswagen Tiguan in terms of pricing.
