The Korean automaker, Kia will release the prices of the Sonet facelift in the Indian market in January 2024. Interested buyers can book the new model online or at authorised Kia dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 20,000. The small SUV is expected to be priced around Rs 7 lakh; however, the mid-level and high-spec variants will cost above 10 lakhs. The new Sonet will also receive ADAS Level 1 with features like front collision warning, lane keep assist, high beam assist and others. Even the base variant is equipped with 6 airbags, ESC, HAC, VSM, rear parking sensors, all seat 3 point seatbelt with reminder, etc. It is offered with 3 engine options – a 83PS, 1.2L NA Petrol, a 120PS, 1.0L Turbo Petrol and a 116PS, 1.5L turbo diesel.

Maruti Suzuki will launch the new gen Swift hatchback in the country in the first quarter of 2024. It is based on the heavily revised HEARTECT platform. The new model has received some design changes and an all-new interior, which is inspired from Maruti Suzuki Fronx & Baleno. It is offered with both petrol and hybrid petrol engines. It is powered by a 1.2L DOHC engine that produces 82bhp and 108Nm of torque. The mild hybrid version comes with a DC synchronous motor, offering an additional power and torque outputs of 3.1bhp and 60Nm, respectively. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a new CVT automatic gearbox. It is expected that the India-spec model could also get an AMT option.

Not just the new Swift, Maruti Suzuki is also preparing to launch the new gen Dzire sub-4 meter sedan. Likely to go on sale by mid-2024, the new Maruti Dzire will share the design changes and interior with the new-gen Swift hatchback. The sedan will also receive the same 1.2L 3-cylinder NA petrol engine with hybrid tech with manual and automatic gearbox options. The sedan could also receive a CNG powertrain.

Tata Motors will launch the significantly revised Altroz hatchback in the country in 2024. The new model will receive design changes inspired from the new Tata cars along with refreshed interior. It will have a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument console, ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof (Altroz Racer Edition) and others. The Racer Edition is likely to be offered with a 120bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol engine or a new 125bhp, 1.2L direct injection turbo petrol engine that also powers the Curvv SUV Coupe. The Altroz facelift is likely to continue with the existing 88bhp, 1.2L NA petrol & the 110bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol engine. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Before launching the new mid-sized SUV, Nissan will give a major update to the Magnite sub-4 meter SUV in the country in mid-2024. Adding to it, the company will also start exporting the refreshed Magnite to Left Hand Drive (LHD) markets like Mexico. The small SUV is expected to receive some design changes and a more feature-loaded interior. It is likely to be offered with the same 1.0L 3-cylinder NA petrol and a 1.0L turbo petrol engines.
