The new Maruti Baleno has finally been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 6.35 lakh. The new model can be booked online or at authorised NEXA dealership at a token amount of Rs 11,000. The new model directly rivals the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and the Honda Jazz.
The new Baleno is powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder Dualjet petrol engine that produces 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The updated model is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 22.95kmpl. The hatchback is available in 4 trim levels – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha.
