Maruti Suzuki recently launched the updated Baleno hatchback within the price range of Rs 6.35 lakh – 9.49 lakh (all ex-showroom, Delhi). The model lineup comes in 7 variants spread across four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Now, the company is gearing up to bring in the Ertiga and WagonR facelifts next month (i.e. March 2022). Launch dates of the cars, however, are yet to be announced.
We have got our hands on some of their exterior and interior details, thanks to the leaked spy images. Here’re key facts we know about the 2022 Maruti Ertiga and WagonR facelifts so far.
2022 Maruti Ertiga Facelift
A few changes will be made on the exterior. Save for the new front grille, the new Ertiga will continue to carry the same headlamps, bumpers, alloy wheels and taillamps. The automaker might introduce new colour schemes. Inside, there might be new colour upholstery and trims along with a bunch of new features. The MPV is likely to use the same 1.5L petrol engine with mild hybrid technology. The motor delivers a claimed power of 105bhp and 138Nm of torque. Transmissions too will be carried forward from the existing model – i.e. 5-speed manual and 4-speed torque convertor automatic.
2022 Maruti WagonR Facelift
The updated WagonR hatchback is reported to hit showrooms in late March 2022. The model is expected to receive minor cosmetic and feature upgrades along with the Dualjet petrol engine. The new 2022 Maruti WagonR facelift is likely to come with the 68bhp, 1.0L K10B petrol and 90bhp, 1.2L K12M petrol powertrains. The latter one will replace the 83bhp, 1.2L K12M gasoline motor. Rumour has it that the 1.2L WaongR might come with CNG option at a later stage. The new model is likely to feature a new blacked-out roof and newly-designed alloy wheels. The automaker might update its infotainment system and added new upholstery.
