The new 2023 Hyundai Verna went on sale last month at a starting price of Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The model lineup gets four trims – EX, S, SX and SX (O) – and two petrol engines – 1.5L naturally aspirated and 1.5L turbo. Its deliveries have been commenced across all Hyundai dealerships. Recently, the new Verna EX base variant was spotted at a dealership yard. Let’s check what all it has on offer.

The entry-level EX variant has projector halogen headlights instead of the LED units. It also misses out on the LED light bar and alloy wheels. You get 16-inch steel wheels with wheel caps. The model comes with the fender-mounted turn indicators.

The sedan’s entry-level variant is available with a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The gasoline unit makes a top power of 113bhp and 144Nm of peak torque. The new 2023 Hyundai Verna model lineup is also available with a 1.5L turbo petrol engine that’s good enough for 160bhp. There are two more gearbox options – a CVT automatic and a 7-speed DCT.

With the arrival of the all-new Verna, the South Korean automaker expects to achieve double its sales and overtake Honda City. The latter one recently received a mid-life update.
