2021 Hyundai Creta SUV model lineup will soon see an addition of a new variant. According to a leaked document, the carmaker will introduce the new SX Executive variant that will be positioned below the SX variant. The new Hyundai Creta SX Executive will be offered with 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5L turbocharged diesel engines making power worth 115bhp. While the former comes with the 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options, the latter gets a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission. Talking about features, the new Hyundai Creta SX Executive comes equipped with steering mounted audio controls, rear view camera, Bluetooth Mic, USB port, shark-fin antenna, body-coloured door handles (replacing the chrome units) and day/night IRVM. However, it misses out on some important features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, Arkamys sound mood, voice recognition button, Bluelink internet connectivity, driver review view monitor and burglar alarm.
The new Hyundai Creta SX Executive variant has been priced Rs 13.14 lakh (for the petrol) and Rs 14.14 lakh (for the diesel). It’s around Rs 79,000 more affordable than the SX manual variant and Rs 95,000 pricier than the S manual variant. The SUV’s petrol models are currently available in the price range of Rs 9.99 lakh – Rs 17.67 lakh and the diesel variants cost between Rs 10.51 lakh – Rs 17.62 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
In other updates, the South Korean automaker is gearing up to launch the new Hyundai Alcazar 6/7-seater SUV towards the end of this month. Official bookings have been commenced at an initial sum of Rs 25,000. The model will come with the 2.0L, 4-cylinder petrol and 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine options. There will be two gearboxes on offer – 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The Alcazar is estimated to cost from Rs 13 lakh onwards.
