Hyundai has officially revealed the interiors of the new Alcazar ahead of its launch later this month. The company has also started accepting bookings for the SUV at a token amount of Rs 25,000. Interested buyers can pre-book the SUV via dealerships or through Hyundai’s Click to Buy Online sales portal.
The Hyundai Alcazar will be offered with 6 and 7-seat layout. The six-seater variant comes with captain’s seats in the second row, while the 7-seater model will have a bench-type arrangement for the second row. The second row seats get a sliding function, and the seats can be adjusted to free up more space for the second or third row passengers. The six-seater version gets independent floor-mounted armrest with storage space. However, this will remove the possibility of entering third-row using gap between captain seats in the second row. The third row can only be accessed via the second row seat’s one-touch tumble mechanism.
The new Hyundai Alcazar comes with a dual-tone black and ‘Cognac’ brown cabin. The SUV also gets fold-out tables with cup-holder behinds the front seats. In terms of features, the Hyundai Alcazar gets 10.25-inch Multi display digital cluster, bose premium sound system with 8 speakers, auto healthy air purifier with AQI display, front row sliding sunvisor and rear window sunshade.
The Alcazar comes fitted with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It also gets Hyundai BlueLink connected car tech, a 360 degree camera, 64 ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, air purifier, wireless phone charging and automatic climate control. The SUV comes with 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat.
The Hyundai Alcazar 6-seater will be offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel. The petrol engine is capable of producing 159PS of power and 192Nm of torque. The diesel engine produces 113bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
Expected to be priced between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 21 lakh, the Hyundai Alcazar 3-row SUV will be positioned against the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700.
