New Honda Forza To Debut On 14th October – What to Expect?

Honda Motorcycles has released the first teaser video of the upcoming new Honda Froza maxi-scooter that’s slated to launch on 14th October, 2020. The middleweight scooter will be sold in European and other select markets. The video reveals a few design elements of the vehicle including new front fairing and engine casing along with the statement – “The Forza family is getting bigger”. This hints that the two-wheeler maker might launch the bigger capacity and more powerful variant of the scooter. At present, the company is selling Forza 125 and Forza 300. If reports are to be believed, the new Honda Forza will come as a replacement to the Honda NC700D Integra. The model is likely to feature a 750cc engine with a DCT gearbox borrowed from the X-ADV. As of now, details of the upcoming maxi-scooter are scanty. Though, it’s likely to come with features such as full LED lighting, Bluetooth connectivity and cruise control.

2020 Honda Forza scooter

The Japanese two-wheeler maker hasn’t yet confirmed the Forza maxi-scooter for the Indian market. Though, it’s reported hit showrooms sometime next year. Just so you know, the company delivered the first four units of the Honda Forza 300 to select customers in Gurugram early this year.

Talking about the Honda Forza 300, the scooter comes with a 279cc, liquid-cooled engine boosted with fuel-injected technology and has SOHC setup. This four-valve four-stroke unit pushes out a peak power of 24.8bhp at 7,000rpm and 27.2Nm of torque at 5,750rpm. Transmission duties are carried out by a CVT automatic gearbox with an automatic centrifugal clutch and a V-Belt. The Forza 300 has been equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) that enables it to regain rear-wheel traction by sensing the difference between the front and rear wheel speeds. It also helps controlling engine torque via FI system by calculating the slip ratio.
