Honda Forza 300cc Scooter’s First Lot Delivered In India
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has delivered the first four units of the Honda Forza 300 maxi-scooter in Gurugram. The sold units were put up for display purpose only, but a few customers showed interest in buying them. Price of the scooter hasn’t yet revealed by the two-wheeler maker. For power, the Honda Forza 300 uses a 279cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, SOHC four-valve engine. The motor produces a peak power of 25PS against a maximum torque of 27.2Nm. The scooter has been benefited with Honda Selectable Torque Control that senses an imminent loss of rear wheel traction and reduces torque to improve tyre grip.
The suspension setup of the scooter includes 33mm telescopic forks upfront and 7-step adjustable twin rear shock absorbers and a single piece aluminum swingram unit. For performing braking duties, the scooter has a single 256mm disc brake upfront and a 240mm rear disc brake at the rear. It’s further assisted by dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). The Honda Forza 300 rides on a 15-inch wheel with a 120/70 section tyre and a 14-inch wheel with 140/70 section tyre at the front and rear axles respectively. The scooter comes equipped with twin-pod instrumentation with analogue speedometer and tachometer. It also gets an on-the-fly electronically adjustable windscreen which has a range of 140mm. There is a digital LCD display that shows important information such as average mileage, odometer (3 modes), trip meter, range, current mileage, clock, a battery sensor and ambient temperature thermometer. The Honda Forza 300 is India’s first scooter to a smart key fob and 15-inch aluminium front alloy wheel.
