In order to challenge dominance of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the South Korean carmaker will introduce a new model that’s rumoured to be the Hyundai Stargazer. The MPV was recently spotted testing in Indonesia. Designed for the Southeast Asian markets, the Stargazer might hit our shores in early 2022. It’s reported to be manufactured at the company’s Chennai-based plant and exported to global markets. The upcoming Hyundai Stargazer could be based on the Alcazar’s platform and measure around 4.5 meters in length. The compact MPV might be offered with the 1.5L petrol (113bhp/145Nm) and 1.5L diesel (113bhp/250Nm) engine options. The Alcazar’s 2.0L petrol engine might also be on offer. Transmission choices are likely to include manual and automatic units.
