In July 2021, BMW Motorrad unveiled the updated G 310 R and G310 GS motorcycles for the Indian market. Both bikes receive two new colour schemes, namely, Cosmic Black Two and Kyanite Blue Metallic with Red rims. While the Polar White (for G 310 R) and ’40 Years of GS’ (for G 310 GS) paint schemes have been discontinued, the 2022 BMW G 310 GS gets a new Triple Black shade.
No other changes have been made to the bikes. Ahead of their official launch, the bikemaker has started accepting bookings of the new BMW G 310 R and G310 GS.
Powering the 2022 BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS is the same 313cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine pushing out a peak power of 33bhp at 9,500rpm and a maximum torque of 28Nm at 7,500rpm. The bikes have a 6-speed gearbox for performing transmission duties. The slipper clutch and ride-by-wire technology come as standard fitments.

Both models come with LED headlight, LED flashing turn indicators, LED brake lights and LED taillamps. Features such as adjustable clutch and brake levers along with sharper tank shrouds have also been retained.
At present, the BMW G 310 R is available at Rs 2.60 lakh and the G 310 GS costs Rs 3 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Both bikes received a price of Rs 5,000 and Rs 5,000 in January and August 2021. Prices of the 2022 BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS are likely to be more or less similar to the current model.
