In order to cash in the upcoming festive season, several automakers have planned new launches for the next month. In fact, the next week of September will also be action-packed as there will be two new cars and a bike in the market. Here’s a brief on the upcoming three new models.
Audi e-tron GT
Audi India will announce prices of the e-tron GT performance-oriented four-door coupe on 22nd September 2021. It will be the most expensive electric car in the country. Bookings for the vehicle have already been commenced at Rs 10 lakh. Powertrain system of the e-tron GT includes a 238bhp and 435bhp electric motors placed at the front and rear axles respectively. It’s capable to do 0 to 100kmph in 4.1 seconds and attain a top speed of 245kmph. The Audi e-tron GT is likely to be offered in S and RS variants and latter will get 598bhp rear electric motor. It has 2-speed gearbox and Audi’s Quattro AWD system.
Volkswagen Taigun
The new Volkswagen Taigun mid-size SUV will hit showrooms on September 23, 2021. The model shares its platform, features, design elements and engines with the Skoda Kushaq. Though, it looks different and comes with a few extra goodies. The Taigun has a dashboard integrated infotainment system, differently designed AC vents and electronic stability control as standard feature. The upcoming Volkswagen SUV can be had with either a 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo or a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine. While the former is good for 115bhp, the latter makes 150bhp. Transmission options will include 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DCT unit.
New Yamaha R15M
Yamaha Motor Company has announced that it will launch the new YZF R15 sports bike on September 21, 2021. It’s likely to be a new, sportier variant of the motorcycle with cosmetic enhancements and new features. The upcoming model is reported to be called Yamaha R15M. Ahead of its official launch, the bike’s new variant was spotted at dealership in Racing Blue and Silver colour schemes. Some of its design elements will include a new single projector LED headlamp with LED DRLs, larger air ducts, bigger windscreen and revised LED taillamps. The Yamaha R15M will be powered by the same 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine making 18.5PS.
