Tata Nexon is currently ruling the sales chart in the country. While the SUV’s existing model has been generating volume for the carmaker, its new-generation model has entered in its initial testing phase. A test mule of the new 2024 Tata Nexon was caught on camera early this year, wearing heavy camouflage. Here’re all key details of its all-new model that we know so far.
Major Design Changes
The spy images reveal that the new 2024 Tata Nexon will carry a more angular and upright stance. It will feature a newly-designed front grille and bumper. Similar to the Tata Curvv concept that was showcased at this year’s Auto Expo, the next-gen Nexon might get a connected LED light bar running across width of the hood. The same design pattern could be seen between its taillamp clusters.
Up-market Interior
Interior of the new Nexon will witness significant changes. The subcompact SUV is likely to come with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster. There might also be a new 2-spoke steering wheel, borrowed from the Curvv concept. Features such as ventilated seats, a factory-fitted electric sunroof, automatic AC unit and 6 airbags could also be on offer.
New Petrol Engine
For power, the new 2024 Tata Nexon might use the brand’s new 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine that’s good enough for 125bhp and 225Nm. Just so you know, Tata Motors unveiled its two new turbo-petrol engines at the 2023 Delhi Auto Expo. The SUV’s new-generation model also be available with a 1.5L diesel engine making 110bhp. Expected Launch, Price
As of now, there is no official word on its launch timeline. If reports are to be believed, the new-generation Nexon will go on sale sometime in 2024. With major cosmetic and feature upgrades, the SUV’s new model will surely be more expensive. At present, the subcompact SUV model lineup is available within the price range of Rs 7.80 lakh – Rs 14.35 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
