Hyundai Motor India has confirmed that it will launch the new-generation Verna sedan and updated Alcazar very soon. While the former is slated to go on sale on 21st March, the launch date of the latter is yet to be revealed. Bookings for both upcoming Hyundai cars are underway. 2023 Hyundai Verna
The new-generation Hyundai Verna comes with significantly improved design, feature and mechanical upgrades. In fact, the sedan has grown dimensionally. Now, it measures 4535mm in length, 1765mm in width and 1475mm in height with a wheelbase of 2670mm. It also gets three new exterior paint options. Under the hood, the new Verna features a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5L turbo petrol engine making 113bhp with 114Nm and 160bhp with 253Nm respectively. With the new turbo-petrol engine, the Verna will become the most powerful car in its segment. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer. 2023 Hyundai Alcazar
The updated Hyundai Alcazar will be offered with a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine replacing the existing 2.0L turbo petrol motor. It’s the same gasoline unit that will debut on the new Verna. The new engine meets the RDE (Real Driving Emission) norms that will be enforced from 1st April 2023. It also E20 fuel complaint. Its power and torque figures stand at 160bhp and 253Nm respectively. There will be two gearbox options – a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The new Alcazar with turbo-petrol engine will promise a fuel efficiency of 18kmpl (MT) and 17.5kmpl (AT).
