New 2024 Hyundai Creta – Interior, Exterior Upgrades (Expected)

Hyundai Motor India has set its sights on claiming the top spot in the electric vehicle (EV) sector with a comprehensive plan to launch six EV models by 2028. In addition to solidifying its presence in the EV market, the South Korean automaker is also committed to enhancing its internal combustion engine (ICE)-powered lineup, which recently welcomed the Exter micro SUV. The ever-popular Creta midsize SUV and the i20 premium hatchback are both in line for midlife updates in 2024, with both models currently undergoing initial testing. A prototype of the new 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift was recently captured on camera, heavily camouflaged.

Although the interior remains a mystery for now, the new Creta is poised to receive a significant feature upgrade in the form of an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). This suite of autonomous driving capabilities will offer functionalities such as forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, lane-following assist, and leading vehicle departure alert.

Anticipated interior enhancements for the new 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift encompass a new touchscreen infotainment system with an improved user interface, a fresh HD digital instrument cluster (potentially borrowed from the Alcazar model), a redesigned dashboard, and a 360-degree camera. The BlueLink connected car technology will also receive updates, introducing additional features such as a valet parking mode, stolen vehicle tracking, and stolen vehicle immobilization.

The new Creta is set for radical design changes, adopting the new design language that was introduced with the Exter micro SUV. Some design elements will draw inspiration from the global-spec Hyundai Santa Fe. The facelifted SUV will feature an entirely revamped front end, incorporating a new grille, headlamp clusters, and taillamps. The updated front bumper, H-shaped LED DRLs, and new alloy wheels will contribute to its fresh aesthetic.

Regarding powertrains, the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to share the 1.5L turbo-petrol engine with the Verna model. This gasoline powerplant delivers 160bhp and 253Nm of torque. The SUV lineup will also include the 113bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, and the 113bhp, 1.5L diesel engine options. Multiple transmission choices will be available, varying by variant, including manual, automatic, intelligent manual transmission (iMT), intelligent variable transmission (iVT), and dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
