Hyundai Tucson Getting Ready For An Update – Towing А Trailer!

The fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson will soon complete its first year. While we don’t see it aging, the South Korean automaker has started working on its updated model, and recently, one of its test mules was spotted in the Austrian Alps. What’s interesting here is that the new 2024 Hyundai Tucson facelift was caught performing towing duty! While the heavy camouflage doesn’t let us know what will be changed inside and out, the updates are likely to be minimal.

What we can assume from the spy pictures is that most of the cosmetic changes will be made at the front fascia. The SUV will receive a newly designed grille, redesigned headlamps with DRL signature, and a tweaked bumper. The front quarter panels and bonnet might remain intact. At the back, there could be a new bumper and taillamp clusters.

The thick camouflage on the dashboard hints that it might get some updates. The new 2024 Hyundai Tucson facelift is likely to come with a new steering wheel and an updated center console and infotainment. In Europe, the SUV could retain the existing 1.6L petrol and 216bhp, 1.6L electric powertrains. The higher trims will continue to come with an AWD system, and the lower variants will have an FWD setup. In the US, the Tucson is available with the 2.5L (187bhp/241Nm) engine, along with hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options.

Hyundai India’s Future Plan

Meanwhile, the South Korean car manufacturer is gearing up to tap into the micro SUV segment with the Exter. Prices of the model will be announced on 10th July 2023. The company will introduce the Creta facelift in early 2024. Both SUVs will certainly help the company boost its sales performance. Besides this, the Hyundai i20 has also been caught testing in the country. As of now, there is no information on the Hyundai Tucson facelift’s India launch.
