New 2023 Tata Harrier Facelift – What We Know So Far

The Tata Harrier 5-seater SUV has been generating volume for the home-grown automaker ever since its launch in 2019. With the introduction of the new models, the competition is getting fiercer in the compact SUV segment and in order to withstand competition Tata will give a mid-life update to the Harrier. While its official launch timeline is yet to be revealed, the SUV’s updated model is reported to hit roads in early 2023. The new 2023 Tata Harrier facelift is expected to come with some major design, interior and engine mechanism upgrades.

Here’re key details we know so far about the new Harrier SUV.

One of the biggest updates will come in the form of the petrol engine. The Harrier facelift could be offered with a new 1.5L turbocharged petrol motor that has been on test for a while. It’s essentially the calibrated version of the 1.2L Revotron engine. Read – Upcoming New Tata SUVs and EVs

The new gasoline unit will be good enough for 150bhp. It’s reported to be offered with automatic gearbox, paddle shifters and multiple drive modes.

The existing diesel 170bhp, 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine with manual and automatic gearbox options will also continue to be on offer.

With an aim to enhance its comfort levels, the company might tune its suspension units.

New Tata Harrier 2023 facelift

The second major update could be the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). The suite might include adaptive cruise control, brake assist, blind spot monitor, autonomous emergency braking and more.

The new 2023 Tata Harrier facelift will have a fully digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting system and electronic parking brake as well.

Talking about design, the new Harrier facelift is likely to come with a heavily updated front profile. Its front grille, bumper and headlamp clusters could be revised. The SUV is likely to come with the newly-designed alloy wheels and taillamps.
