The new-generation Hyundai Verna is surely among the major new car launches of this year. The carmaker is ready to reveal the sedan’s new model and its prices on 21st March 2023. Ahead of its official launch, the new 2023 Hyundai Verna has started arriving at dealerships across the country. Recently, its top-end variant was caught on camera without any camouflage in Goa.
Here’re all key features and details of the new Verna’s top variant.
New Hyundai Verna Engine, Gearbox
The sedan’s new model can be had with either a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol or a 1.5L turbo petrol engine. While the former makes a top power of 113.4bhp and 144Nm of torque, the latter delivers 158bhp and 253Nm of peak torque. Talking about the transmission options, the naturally aspirated unit comes with the 6-speed manual and iVT and the turbo-petrol motor gets a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The spotted model was the top variant with the turbo-petrol DCT engine-gearbox combination.
New Hyundai Verna Top Variant Features
You can notice a dual 10.25-inch screens working as infotainment system and instrument cluster. Just beneath the info unit, there are control buttons for fan and defoggers. Unlike the mid-spec trim, the new 2023 Hyundai Verna top variant has sporty red strip running across its extended AC vent and adjusters.
In the centre console, you get a manual gear selector, auto hold button, electronic parking brake, a wireless phone charger, drive mode selection and control buttons for parking assist. The sedan comes with a new 2-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls for cruise and audio.
The top variant offers sporty seat upholstery with red stitching and piping. Similar pattern can be seen on the steering wheel and gear selector. Hyundai is offering premium Bose sound system on its mid-spec variants onwards. What’s reserved for the range-topping trim is the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) tech.
Some of its design highlights include the new signature griller, LED lightbar running across its hood, turn indicators positioned below the triple-barrel LED reflector headlights and ORVM and door handles with silver finish.
