Hyundai Motor India is all set to roll out the new-generation Verna sedan on 21st March 2023. Its deliveries are reported to start in mid April. Ahead of its market arrival, the carmaker has revealed dimensions of the all-new 2023 Hyundai Verna.
The new model measures 4535mm in length, 1765mm in width and 1475mm in height with a wheelbase of 2670mm, thus making it longer and wider than its current generation. In fact, its wheelbase has been increased by 70mm. The height, however, remains unchanged.

When compared to its arch rival – Honda City, the new 2023 Hyundai Verna is wider (by 17mm) and more spacious. While the former has a storage capacity of 506-litres, the latter offers a boot space of 528-litres. The City sedan, that recently received a mid-life update, is longer than the new Verna. Hyundai says that the next-generation Verna “has been designed to exude a premium and luxurious appeal”. It has “premium and up-market interiors, advanced technologies and futuristic design”.

With extended wheelbase and width, the Hyundai Verna 2023 ensures more cabin space for the second row seat passengers. It’s claimed to offer better rear seat legroom and knee room along with the improved shoulder room for front and rear sear passengers. The new 2023 Hyundai Verna will be made available with two petrol engine options – a 1.5L naturally aspirated and a 1.5L turbo. The naturally aspirated unit delivers a claimed power of 113bhp with 114Nm with a 6-speed manual and an iVT gearbox. The turbo-petrol motor pushes out a peak power of 160bhp and 253Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The new Verna turbo-petrol will be the most powerful car in its segment. Both petrol engines are compliant with the E20 ethanol-blend fuel.
