The newly-launched Maruti Grand Vitara comes within the price range of Rs 10.45 lakh – Rs 19.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The biggest talking point of the SUV is its hybrid powertrain and mileage. The model comes with two powertrain options – a 103bhp, 1.5L K15C petrol mild hybrid and a 1.5L Atkinson cycle petrol engine paired to an electric motor. Maruti claims that its strong hybrid version with e-CVT gearbox offers an impressive mileage of 27.97kmpl. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder – 27.97kmpl
Prices of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV start from Rs 15.11 lakh and go up to Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Similar to the Grand Vitara, the new Toyota mid-size SUV comes with the 1.5L TNGA Atkinson cycle engine with an electric motor and 1.5L K15C mild hybrid powertrains. While the former delivers a combined power of 114bhp, the latter offers 103bhp with 137Nm. The SUV’s strong hybrid version, with an e-CVT gearbox, returns a claimed fuel economy of 27.97kmpl. Kia Sonet subcompact SUV can be had with either a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol or a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine. The gasoline unit makes a top power of 83bhp with 115Nm of torque and the oil burner delivers 115bhp with 250Nm. Buyers also have an option of more powerful 120bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine. The compact SUV is available ith the 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines that offer power worth 90bhp with 110Nm and 100bhp with 200Nm respectively. While the former gets a 5-speed manual gearbox, the latter one comes with a 6-speed manual transmission.
