India’s one of the most popular MPVs – Ertiga – has entered into the second generation. The new model is the most fuel efficient 7-seater car in India. The MPV is available in two engine options – a new 1.5-litre K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel. These two engines are benefitted with Suzuki’s mild-hybrid system – SHVS and lighter HEARTECT platform. The diesel version of the is claimed to return an impressive ARAI fuel economy of 25.47kmpl (up from 24.59kmpl). On the flip side, the petrol version of the MPV is claimed to return a fuel economy of 19.34kmpl with manual gearbox and 18.69kmpl with automatic transmission.
