Maruti Ertiga
India’s one of the most popular MPVs, the Ertiga has entered into the second generation. The new model is one of the most fuel efficient 7-seater cars in India. It is powered by a 1.5-litre K15C Dualjet petrol engine with SHVS mild hybrid system. This engine produces 101bhp and 137Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. This engine is benefitted with Suzuki’s mild-hybrid system – SHVS and lighter HEARTECT platform. The petrol version of the MPV is claimed to return a fuel economy of 20.5kmpl with manual gearbox and 20.3kmpl with automatic transmission.
It also comes with a factory-fitted CNG option; however, the power and torque drop to 87bhp and 121.5Nm respectively. The CNG version is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 26.1km/kg.

While the manual version is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 20.9kmpl, the AT returns 20.2kmpl.
