MG Hector SUV Official Brochure Revealed

MG Motors has officially opened its dealership network in the Indian market. The company will have 120 sales + service touchpoints across the country, which will be increased to 250 before the end of September 2019. MG will launch the Hector SUV in India this month. Bookings for the SUV have already been started at a token amount of Rs 50,000, while test drives will commence from June 12, 2019.
MG Motor has also opened its one-of-its-kind flagship showroom at Milestone Experian Centre, Sector-15, Gurgaon. Besides opening dealerships, MG Motor has also released the official brochure of the Hector SUV. The Brochure reveals all the details about the Hector SUV, except for the prices. The MG Hector SUV will be offered in 5 exciting exterior paint schemes namely Candy White, Aurora Silver, Starry Black, Burgundy Red and Glaze Red.

The MG Hector SUV will be offered in 3 engine options – a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol, a 1.5-litre turbocharged intercooled with belt starter generator (Hybrid) and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel. The petrol and the hybrid powertrain produce 141bhp of power at 5,000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1,600-3,600rpm. However, the hybrid will give additional 20Nm of torque which reduces turbo lag and offers better acceleration on lower speeds. The petrol engine is available in 2 transmission options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic. The MG Hector hybrid returns an ARAI certified fuel economy of 15.81kmpl, while the petrol manual and petrol automatic offers 14.16kmpl and 13.96kmpl respectively. The diesel Hector is claimed to return an ARAI certified mileage of 17.41kmpl. The SUV rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 215/60 section tyres. In terms of proportions, the MG Hector is 4,655mm in length, 1,835mm in width and 1,760mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,750mm. It is the biggest SUV in its category. For suspension duties, the Hector gets Macpherson strut with stabilizer bar at the front and Semi Independent Helical Spring Torsion Beam at the rear.
