Maruti’s Updated 1.5L Petrol Engine For New Brezza, XL6, Ciaz

Maruti Suzuki has planned several new models for this year. While the next big launch from the Indo-Japanese automaker will be the XL6 facelift, the company will bring in the new-generation Brezza and updated Ciaz. All three upcoming models will use the brand’s new 15L K15C petrol engine offering power worth 115bhp. The same Dualjet powertrain (but with a 33bhp hybrid motor) does duty in global-spec Vitara SUV. In India, the gasoline unit will have integrated starter generator and auto start stop system.

The new 1.5L K15C petrol engine is likely to be more frugal than its existing version. It will be offered with a new 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The new transmission unit has added ratio and advanced technology and offers a sport mode and manual shift option. It will come as a replacement to the aging 4-speed unit.

2022 Maruti Brezza Design Changes

Talking about the 2022 Maruti XL6, the facelift is ready to hit roads on coming 21st April. Official bookings for the vehicle have already been commenced at a token sum of Rs 11,000. Customers can pre-book it at Nexa and Arena dealerships. A few changes are likely to be made to the MPV. The new XL6 is expected to come with the larger alloy wheels as we have seen on the Indonesia-spec Suzuki XL7. Similar to the new Baleno, the MPV’s updated model might get a new infotainment system and new upholstery. The latest teaser video confirms that the new Maruti XL6 facelift will have a sunroof.

After the new XL6, the company will roll out the much-awaited all-new Maruti Brezza with comprehensive changes inside and out. This time around, the subcompact SUV will have several advanced features on offer including wireless charging system, a 360 degree parking camera, a factory-fitted sunroof, a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity and more.
