Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – New Engine, Ride-by-Wire, 3 Riding Modes

Fresh details on the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 bike have been surfaced on the web. As per the leaked information, the bike will have a new 450cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine offering power around 40bhp and 45Nm of torque. The new 450cc motor is expected to deliver better performance at high speed and generate good grunt during off-roading.

Unlike the RE Himalayan 411 that comes with a 5-speed gearbox, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will have a 6-speed unit. The bike will offer three riding modes, namely – Road, Rain and Off-road. One must note that the ABS (antilock braking system at the rear wheel gets switched off whenever the off-road activated. The Ride-by-Wire system will also be on offer. It not only provides control over the air/fuel mixture, but improves fuel efficiency and lower emissions as well.
