Maruti Suzuki Invicto – 1 Variant, 1 Colour, Strong Hybrid Tech

Maruti Suzuki Invicto is all set to go on sale in India on July 5, 2023. Prior to its market arrival, the company has begun accepting bookings for the model via its Nexa dealerships. It is important to note that the booking amount is Rs 25,000, and currently, buyers can only place orders for the Nexa Blue color model. While official details of the new Maruti Invicto MPV will be revealed in the next couple of weeks, it is reported to come in a single fully-loaded Alpha+ trim, based on the Toyota Innova Hycross ZX (O) hybrid variant. When it comes to features, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto Alpha+ will have all the goodies available on its donor counterpart. That means it will offer a 9-speaker JBL sound system, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver seat with memory function, ventilated front seats, a powered leg rest for the second row, dual-zone climate control, quilted leather seats, and 6 airbags. The major attraction will be its ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) tech, offering features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beam.

The powertrain setup of the Maruti Invicto will include a 2.0L, four-cylinder petrol engine with Toyota’s new-gen strong hybrid tech. The unit has an Atkinson cycle that enhances its fuel efficiency and reduces carbon emissions. The strong hybrid setup is good enough for 186bhp, and the motor comes with an eCVT gearbox. Similar to the Toyota Innova Hycross, the Invicto strong hybrid will deliver a mileage of 21.1kmpl and will be capable of accelerating from 0 to 100kmph in 9.5 seconds.

Maruti Suzuki’s new premium MPV will underpin a monocoque chassis and Toyota’s TNGA-C platform. The Invicto will be the most expensive offering from the Indo-Japanese automaker in India, with expected prices around Rs 20 lakh.
